Therapy Services

The Psy Center does not bill medical insurance. Psychotherapy services are billed at $300 an hour. The Psy Center can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance, please confirm with your insurance if reimbursement is an option.

Evaluation Services

Comprehensive evaluations are tailored to meet individual needs and require a thorough, time-intensive process. To provide the most thorough and individualized care possible, evaluations are not billed to insurance. There are two main reasons for this approach. First, insurance companies often place strict limits on the number of hours they approve for testing. These constraints can restrict the scope of the evaluation, reduce the ability to tailor the process to each client’s unique needs, and compromise the quality and comprehensiveness of the assessment. Second, even when prior authorization is obtained,  reimbursement from insurance can be inconsistent and delayed—creating unnecessary stress for families after the evaluation is complete.

Instead, I operate on a private-pay basis and provide all clients with a detailed Superbill after their evaluation. This allows you to submit the documentation to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. This model allows me to prioritize clinical quality, take the time needed for thorough assessment, and provide thoughtful, personalized recommendations without compromise. In compliance with Washington state regulations, clients are provided with a Good Faith Estimate upon request or when scheduling the evaluation. This estimate outlines the anticipated total cost of services to ensure clarity and transparency. 

Cancellation Policy

For therapy sessions, a 24-hour cancellation notice is required. For evaluations, a 48-hour notice is needed. If these cancellation periods are not observed, we will charge $150 for missed therapy sessions and $350 for missed evaluation appointments.
