ADHD Coaching and Working Memory Training (Cogmed) in Seattle

The Psy Center offers ADHD coaching and working memory training designed to help children, adolescents, and adults strengthen the cognitive skills that support attention, organization, and task completion.

Many individuals with ADHD experience challenges with working memory, sustained attention, planning, and mental stamina. These skills play an essential role in academic performance, workplace productivity, and everyday functioning.

Our program incorporates Cogmed Working Memory Training, an evidence-based cognitive training program designed to strengthen working memory and improve attention through structured, adaptive exercises combined with clinician coaching.

How Cogmed Supports ADHD

Working memory functions as the brain’s mental “workspace,” allowing us to hold and manipulate information while completing tasks. When working memory is weaker, individuals may experience difficulty following multi-step instructions, staying organized, or maintaining focus on complex tasks.

Cogmed training targets this cognitive system through structured exercises designed to strengthen attention, memory, and cognitive efficiency.

This approach can be particularly helpful for individuals with ADHD who want to improve focus, mental stamina, and the ability to manage multiple tasks more effectively.

How the Program Works

Cogmed training is delivered over several weeks through structured, computer-based exercises that adapt to the individual’s performance level. As training progresses, the program automatically adjusts difficulty to maintain the right level of challenge.

Training can be completed from home or in the clinic, with regular one-on-one coaching sessions to monitor progress, support motivation, and help translate cognitive improvements into everyday functioning.

ADHD coaching services are provided in person in Seattle, with telehealth options available for individuals throughout the Puget Sound region, the Kitsap Peninsula, and across Washington State.
